Let's start with the origins of bubble tea. When and where was it born?
Bubble tea appeared in Taiwan in the late eighties. The story goes that two locals dispute its authorship, so, without going into too much detail, we will only tell you that the "oldest" recipes of this young drink consist of a mixture of black tea, small pearls, condensed milk and syrup or honey.
Bubble tea became popular in neighboring East Asian countries, then migrated to Canada and New York's Chinatown, and from there spread throughout America and Europe. What does bubble tea look like?
