Japan Gyokuro Organic from the island of Kyushu, where a subtropical climate produces limited harvests of the best Gyokuro Green Teas. The taste is lively and fresh, the aroma is strong. A truly exceptional tea. It is interesting to know that Gyokuro is covered with bamboo mats about three weeks before picking (exclusively by hand) so that the plant concentrates its chlorophyll on the extremities of the youngest leaves. This technique gives the tea a unique taste (umami). The fruity aroma of the tea is gradually revealed on the palate. On the island of Kyushu, the vast majority of agriculture is developed in a sustainable and biodynamic way. It can be re-infused respecting the same time and temperature. Tea leaves, after being infused, are beneficial in salads (just like seaweed) with soy sauce and if you like, sweet chili sauce. Gyokuro is one of the teas with the highest level of antioxidants. Its high content of catechins and isoflavones makes it a perfect ally of the daily diet to combat oxidative cell damage. Gyokuro has more amino acids and chlorophyll than other green teas.
