Tea Shop and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation

In 2019, Tea Shop partnered with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation and its campaign 'Bicycles that change lives', an initiative whose objective is to collect funds to buy bicycles for young people in the most disadvantaged areas of India.

Thanks to these bicycles, high school boys and girls living in rural villages in Andhra Pradesh (India) can attend school, which is usually several kilometers from their homes.

In existence for over 50 years, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation is a Non-Governmental Development Organization committed to improving the living conditions of the most disadvantaged communities in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (southeast India), and to helping develop one of the poorest and most needy areas of India.

It aims to engage with rural communities in India in their fight against poverty, inequality and injustice, to ensure sustainable development. The Foundation supports especially vulnerable groups: women and people with disabilities.

It applies its programs in over 3,600 towns and supports nearly 3 million people.

The Foundation’s development model in India coincides with the UN set of global proposals to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
